A Month of Crochet

Kookaburra Retreat is hosting A Month Of Crochet in November and you’re invited! Each week will be a little different, but also very flexible. Cost: $5 per session.

Week 1 (4-5) – Introduction to crochet stitches and choosing a project.
WEEK 2 (10-11) – How to read written patterns and charted (Symbol) patterns.
Week 3 (18-19) – Starting a project.
Week 4 (25-26) – Working on, or maybe even finishing, your project.

Week 1 and Week 2 are practise weeks and will be using Kooka’s craft supplies. Week 3 and Week 4 are project weeks and you will need to supply your own yarn (as the ya…rn will vary from project to project).

If you missed Week 1, it’s not too late to choose a project! I’ve ordered from the following two sites a few times and they have great delivery times.

bendigowoollenmills.com.au – Beautiful Australian grown wool (from the NSW Highlands no less!) and lovely cottons. They also have yarns of other fibres. Support Australian, plus much better value for money than Spotlight.

au.deramores.com – huge selection of yarn. I have only ordered the Stylecraft Special but it is beautifully soft, comes in fabulous colours and very affordable.
